IELTS/TOEFL
The IELTS and TOEFL tests are two English language proficiency exams that universities in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom accept. You will be asked to take one of these two tests if you were educated in a language other than English or if English is not your first language.
Both tests have the same duration of two hours and 45 minutes and assess the student’s abilities according to four criteria: listening, reading, writing and speaking. On the IELTS test, a score ranging from 1 to 10 is assigned to each category. These scores are then added together to give an average score. In TOEFL, a score ranging from 1 to 30 is assigned to each category. The scores are then added together. The IELTS test requires some written answers, while the TOEFL only offers MCQs.
In general, Bespoke students have shown a preference for the IELTS test, but we can help you understand which of these two tests suits you best.
